Trader’s Angle / Policies

Editorial standards

The process behind our research matters as much as the conclusion.

Our purpose

Trader’s Angle is an independent publication built around fundamental FX research. We explain what markets expected, what new information changed and what would strengthen or weaken a currency view. Our work is intended to help readers understand the market and form their own judgements, not to provide trade instructions or promise success.

Facts, interpretation and uncertainty

We distinguish factual information, market pricing and the author’s interpretation. A market reaction is not automatically proof of a particular cause. Where competing explanations matter, our analysis should acknowledge them. Forecasts are scenarios subject to uncertainty, rather than statements of certainty.

Research should identify material catalysts, counterarguments and evidence that would invalidate the central thesis. When the facts change, the view can change too.

Sources and verification

We favour original releases from central banks, statistical authorities, official institutions and primary market information where available. We may use credible reporting and data services to add context. When an external source materially supports a claim, we aim to identify it on the article so readers can check the underlying evidence.

Figures, consensus estimates and market-derived expectations can differ by provider, time of observation or subsequent revision. We aim to identify meaningful timing and source limitations rather than imply that every data point is universal or permanent.

Time-stamped analysis and updates

A publication represents an assessment when written. Material later developments may be addressed in a dated update or a new article; they do not silently turn a historical piece into a real-time view. Corrections, updates and changed conclusions should be distinguishable when the difference materially affects interpretation.

Corrections and accountability

We welcome factual corrections supported by evidence. If an error materially changes the meaning of an article, we aim to correct it and make the correction or update identifiable. Minor typographical changes that do not alter the meaning may be made without a separate notice.

To submit a correction, contact Trader’s Angle with the article URL, the disputed passage and the primary evidence where possible. We review relevant reports, but disagreement with an interpretation alone does not make it a factual error.

Independence and potential interests

Research is written from an independent trader’s perspective, and the author may have personal exposure to markets discussed. Personal trading results and holdings are private; an article should never be treated as proof of the author’s current position. Material commercial sponsorships or relationships relating to specific research should be disclosed if they arise. We do not present sponsored material as independent editorial judgement.

Tools and editorial responsibility

The market research, notes, currency outlooks, trade theses and analytical conclusions originate with the publication’s own trading work and judgement. AI-assisted tools may help polish wording, refine titles and improve formatting or presentation; they do not originate the market thesis or replace the author’s analysis. Visual illustrations are not market evidence unless explicitly identified as genuine data displays, and fabricated figures or quotations have no place in the research.

The reader’s role

Our objective is clarity, not certainty. Readers decide whether a view is persuasive, verify information independently, and remain responsible for any trading decisions. Please also read the financial research disclaimer.
